Dr. Amy Worell has owned and operated Rolling Oak Aviaries for over 20 years. She has a long-term interest in raising psittacines. Her main interest is in cockatoos, but the aviary also houses five species of pionus parrots, African Grey parrots, a pair of double yellow headed amazons, and two species of eclectus parrots. At one time Dr. Worell incubated and raised from day one over 100 babies annually! Time constraints have limited this number to about 30 babies each breeding season.

The aviary is comprised of three separate banks of cages nestled among oak and eucalyptus trees. All birds are fed Roudybush low fat maintenance pellets, in addition to a soybean mix to which fruits and vegetables are added. All babies are also weaned onto Roudybush pellets, and so this diet should be purchased when birds are purchased from the aviary. The aviary is maintained as a closed aviary and all birds are shown through the veterinary office. Weaning or weaned baby birds are always on display at ALL PETS MEDICAL CENTRE.

To contact the aviary, call the veterinary hospital at 818-883-2600, or email us at rollingoak@yourpets.com

Additional pairs may be available for sale, so if you don't see what you are interested in, please ask us.
